During quarantine, every content creator out there (me included) picked up their tripods and thought of every whimsical idea they could come up with to make sure they get that daily content.
I myself, created all the photos I could and even downloaded tiktok to diversify my feed, but over time pictures start to get boring even for the people taking them.
I follow an aray of amazing content creators on Instagram and I have always wondered about how they get to be where they are.
Do they wake up in the morning and have it as easy as we perceive it or is there more to people?
As a person who does enjoy picture taking - trust me I love it - I really get a sense of fulfilment from hearing people speak. Telling me what drives them, what makes them tick.
On a whim I decided to start IGTV Lives with people I enjoy talking to about different things, each time tailoring it to what I see on their pages that excite me and their passions in life.
For my first, I spoke to one of my good friends @-mummy-moi- . To say she was fantstic is an understatement. We discussed her hashtag #stylesisterhood which encourages inclusivity. What you are wearing is brilliant because we are all part of a sisterhood based on our personal styles. I love that idea of promoting the diversity of uniqueness. When using Instagram sometimes hashtags are an important aspect of it all and how your aestetic meets the expectations of a hashtag (trust me you have to be dressing cool if you are going to tag any chic tags). This tag however doesnt centre itself on that. With over 13k tagged pictures on instagram it is doing well and I am sure we will see it grow.
We also discussed fun shopping things like pre-loved fashion and how it is making a come back once again. This wasnt a talk about why you should go pre-loved it was just simply showcasing the amazing finds available on the pre-loved market. With charity shops currently not operating as normal, apps like Vinted, Depop and Ebay you might even be surprised to what you could find on Facebook Market place so go ahead and dip your toe in pre-loved fashion, you might just find the perfect jem. I once found a vintage Louis Vuitton handbag and a Chanel Brooch so who knows what you might find. They might become your next staple.
